one step worship service

One Step Ministries began in 2016 as part Dr. Bruce Burns and Dr. Baxter Hurley’s vision to see an end to the phrase “Sundays are the most segregated days in America.” Once a month, Bruce and members of Bethel CME along with Baxter and members of Forest Hills UMC would meet at the sanctuary on Ridge Avenue to worship together in an effort to show the world that we are striving to end the racial divide in our churches here in Macon. Dr. Burns has moved on to New York, but Baxter has now partnered with Rev. Desmond Rawls of the Mt. Pleasant Traveler’s Rest CME congregation in Montezuma. Together, they lead us in our efforts to show Macon the love of God in “full color.” We hope you will join us at 3187 Ridge Avenue on second Sundays at 6:00 P.M. We enjoy great music, snacks, a brief word from Desmond and Baxter, and a wonderful chance to share God’s love with each person who comes.

ONESTEP IS ON HOLD DUE TO COVID19.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO GATHERING AGAIN SOON.
