River of Life 2026
What is River of Life?
River of Life is more than an event. It’s a week where faith becomes action.
From June 10–14, students and adults from across the region will gather here at Forest Hills Church with one shared mission: to love and serve the Macon community in a real, hands-on way. Each day, teams will head out to paint homes, rebuild spaces, and replace roofs—bringing hope, dignity, and care to families right here in our city. These aren’t just projects, they’re opportunities to show the love of Christ in a way people can truly see and feel. Then each night, the energy shifts as everyone comes back together for powerful worship and life-giving messages from Forest Hills alum Jonathan Griggs. For one incredible week, this building becomes more than just a church. It becomes a home. A place filled with laughter, late-night conversations, new friendships, and lives being changed.
We’re inviting YOU to be part of River of Life 2026 at Forest Hills Church, happening June 10–14. This year’s theme, Illuminate, is inspired by the book of Matthew!
Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Students & Adult Chaperones
If you’re a student who has completed 6th–12th grade, we’d love for you to join us and be part of what God is doing through River of Life!
Adults who have attended Forest Hills for at least six months are also invited to serve as on-site chaperones. You’ll find registration details and costs for both students and chaperones below. That said, we never want finances to stand in the way of participation. If cost is a concern, contact a church staff member, Jeremy Timmerman, or Beth Wilson for alternate arrangements.
Student Cost: $120, Adult Chaperone Cost: $50

Adult Volunteers
The truth is, River of Life is only possible when the entire Forest Hills family comes together to be the body of Christ in action. Being a volunteer is an opportunity to show these students what it looks like to serve God and others!
There are numerous volunteer opportunities for you to choose from! Love to cook? Help out in the kitchen! Have the gift of hospitality? Come greet students as they arrive to check in or to their shower sites! Want to help out the people on the crews? Run some equipment out to their sites! Check out the registration form below and see all volunteer opportunities! If you don't find a job that feels right for you, contact Beth Wilson, our ROL Volunteer Coordinator. She will find a job that's made for you!
